The cottage style presbytery compliments the church and the pair of them form a fine group. The house was built after the church and is a grade 11 listed building.

By the time this sketch was made nearbye Sefton Park had been built with its completion celebrated in 1872.

The sketch shows that the adjacent land was not developed at that time.
