The oldest stained glass in the church is in the Sacred Heart Chapel, the Sacred Heart window, which was installed in 1906. The Catherine of Siena window in the chapel was erected in 1912.

On the far side from the Lady chapel is the Sacred Heart Chapel. The biblical basis for the image of the sacred heart is the wound that Jesus received in his side when a Roman soldier speared him as he hung on the cross. The intention in the image is to focus on Jesus' inner spirit, as opposed to say, say, his words or deeds. Above all it is Jesus' love and his courage that are remembered in images of the Sacred Heart.
There are a number of references to the sacred heart in the chapel including those shown on the stained glass windows.
